My photography process

booking

The first step is to get in touch so we can discuss your session. This consultation will ensure I can create a portrait of your pet that you will absolutely adore.

We’ll select a date, time and place that suits you - this could be at my home studio or an outdoor location of your choosing.

shooting

For me the photoshoot starts with getting to know your pet - getting on the ground and gaining a sense of who they are, which in turn helps them feel comfortable. I like to keep my sessions relaxed with plenty of play time and breaks in between.

Doing this means I can focus solely on your pet and bring out their true personality.

editing

I finish in treatment with colouring and contrasting the image, this allows me to further push the image into a place that is tactile, while at the same time soft and aesthetically pleasing. I liken this to old-school photographers working in the darkroom and fine tuning an image; I take a good image and turn it into a great one.

Viewing and printing

I deliver the images to you digitally through your online gallery and invite your and to choose how best to save, print and display your images. Offering an end-to-end service, I can print your photos in-house (with sizing up to A3) and I also provide custom framing. For more information on the various options, and pricing, please get in touch.
