As I ventured out on a winter day in February with River, a beautiful German Shepherd, and her owner Vicki, I couldn't help but feel excited about the photo shoot ahead. The crisp air and the last remnants of winter's chill served as the perfect backdrop for our outdoor session.
Vicki, a local dog breeder from Donsedohr, was no stranger to having her pets in front of the camera. Having worked closely with Vicki I knew just how to position River so that her best features would shine through in the photos. As we trekked through the corn fields, the yellow hues of the maze contrasted strikingly against River's sandy fur, creating a picturesque scene that was a delight to capture.
As a photographer, I always strive to find unique angles and perspectives that will make my photos stand out. The way River pranced through the fields with the sunlight catching her fur just right. I focused on capturing her energy and spirit in each shot, knowing that Vicki would cherish these images and add the right look to her business.
Of course, no photo shoot is without its challenges. The unpredictable weather kept us on our toes, with the wind picking up at times and threatening to tousle River's fur. But we worked together as a team, adjusting our positions and waiting for the perfect moment to click the shutter.
One of the most memorable moments from the shoot was when River bounded through a patch of wildflowers, her tail wagging with pure joy. I managed to capture that fleeting moment of pure happiness, and it's one of my favorite shots from the day.
As a pet photographer in Doncaster, I feel fortunate to be able to work with such beautiful animals and their devoted owners. Being able to capture the bond between a pet and its owner is truly special, and I take great pride in creating images that will be treasured for a lifetime.
